GRAND CAYMAN

The largest of this British overseas territory trio, Grand Cayman is renowned for its talcum-soft white beaches and brilliant blue water—and for the fabulous snorkeling and scuba diving.

GO to Seven Mile Beach, home the island’s top resorts and a playground for water sports such as Jet Skiing, windsurfing and parasailing. Next, book a Red Sail Sports Grand Cayman catamaran to Stingray City, where you can jump into waist-deep water and get up close and playful with dozens of resident stingrays. The capital, George Town, is packed with duty free shops, while Boatswain’s Beach is home to hundreds of turtles, plus lizards, sharks and birds—plus there’s a snorkeling lagoon filled with thousands of tropical fish.

EAT at Calypso Grill, a colorful indoor/outdoor restaurant on Morgan’s Harbor in West Bay, known for its fresh seafood specialties. At the Ritz-Carlton, choose between Blue by Eric Ripert, for his six-course gourmet tasting menu and extensive wine cellar, or the Silver Palm Lounge for mouthwatering sashimi or sushi and signature Silver Palm Roll.

STAY at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the top resort on Seven Mile Beach, with the incredible Silver Rain Spa by La Prairie and the exclusive nine-hole Greg Norman-designed Blue Tip golf course.

EVENT SITES The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, has more than 13,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 9,000-square-foot ballroom, the island’s largest, plus five restaurants and onsite catering. The Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa, also on Seven Mile Beach, features 16,600 square feet of meeting space, including several ballrooms and outdoor function space with beachfront dining. Boatswain’s Beach is also available for private and corporate events.
