BERMUDA

Just a two hour flight from most East Coast cities, this botanical garden-like island is known for its cottage-dotted hills, pink sand beaches and world-class golf courses.

GO to Horseshoe Bay, on the stunning south coast, as well as smaller nearby coves and beaches, for an up-close look at that amazing pink sand. Visit the Royal Naval Dockyard to the north and step back in history at the Bermuda Maritime Museum, or suit up and make new aquatic friends at Dolphin Quest. Stroll the streets of capital, Hamilton, for duty free shopping and quaint pubs.

EAT at The Waterlot Inn, on the grounds of The Fairmont Southampton, which has been serving fabulous steak and seafood, as well as romantic ambience, for 320 years. The Fairmont’s Bacci restaurant serves a range of classical Italian dishes. At Elbow Beach Bermuda, a Mandarin Oriental property, the elegant Seahorse Grill is known for its Bermudan-fusion cuisine, combining local ingredients and international flavors.

STAY at The Fairmont Southampton, set on Bermuda’s highest point with terrific 360-degree views, a beautiful beach club, a pampering Willow Stream Spa and a Par 3 executive golf course overlooking the gorgeous south shore. Elbow Beach Bermuda offers a wide variety of accommodation, from rooms to cottages, and mixes classic and contemporary design.

EVENT SITES The Fairmont Southampton can accommodate gatherings of 12 to 1,500, in event spaces as varied as the alfresco seaside Beach Terrace or the more intimate Ocean Club. The largest indoor ballroom (accommodating 1,000 people) on the island is located in sister property, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess, an historic bayside property in downtown Hamilton that is a cocktail gathering spot for the island’s movers and shakers. Elbow Beach offers 10,000 square feet of ocean-view function space, both indoor and outdoor.
